Hy lovlies!

I know you are all very attentive, so you have noticed that I'm engaged since the 10th of October.
Yes, my sweet boyfriend asked me to marry him and he did everything just perfect at the proposal. I had the full romantic package - delicious dinner, lots of candles when we came back home and he even was on his knee, with the ring in his hand, when he asked me!
I was speechless, but managed to say YES.
Last week I celebrated with my parents and sister and I wore a beautiful dress for lunch. And crazy for nail art as I am, I had to match my nails with my dress. So, here we go!

Today I want to show you some nail art I did on my mothers nails. She is always a willing victim when I want to go wild on nail art!
She had to remove her gel nails recently and it's a lot easier to work on her natural nails, which are really strong and healthy even though she wore the gels a long time now.
I matched her nails with an outfit she wore on Saturday. It was so much fun to do!

This time I was inspired by a shirt I bought at Orsay, a fashion store here in Austria. I went to a birthday party with this shirt and grey pants and I had to do my nails with a special design for this day.
I love when people acknowledge that you matched your nails with your outfit and they did!

Hey lovlies!

A few days ago I bougth Essie - find me an oasis, from this years Summer collection. When I saw swatches of it I didn't intend to buy it, because all swatcher were complaining about the consistency. But as I'm desperatly searching for a heir to my beloved O.P.I. - My boyfriend scales walls, I thought I give it a chance.
I applied it and did THIS with it, as you may know. I thought: "Hey, this looks exactly like MBSW!".
But to proof if I'm right I applied them next to each other and the result was, that they are not the same (surprise! I'm not colorblind!).
So I took all my "off-white's" and made a comparison swatch for you!

Wie versprochen geht es weiter mit den KIKO Make up Milano Swatch days, heute mit einer wirklich umwerfenden Farbe! KIKO 530 Pearly Blue Peacock ist blau-grüner Duochrome Lack mit blau-grünem Mikroglitzer. Aber man muss ihn gesehen haben, um zu verstehen wie toll der aussieht.
Als ich ihn im Geschäft gesehen habe, musste ich sofort an Robin von rexxxdidit und ihr Meerjungfrauen Design denken. Ich wusste sofort, dass dieser Lack perfekt dafür ist!

As promised I continue with my KIKO Make up Milano Swatch days, and this time I want to show you a really amazing color! KIKO 530 Pearly Blue Peacock is a blue-green duochrome polish with blue-green microglitter. But you have to see it in person to get an idea how great it looks!
When I spotted it in the store, I was instantly reminded of Robin's mermaid nails, which she posted a while ago on her blog rexxxdidit. I knew this polish would fit perfect for it!

Hi meine Lieben! Hy lovlies!

Gestern habe ich noch schnell was österliches auf meine Nägel gezaubert, quasi in der letzten Minute.
Yesterday I made a easter manicure!

Verwendete Farben / used colors:
China Glaze - White on White
Butter London - Jasper
Essie - the more the merrier, mint candy apple, romper room
Ciatè - sugar plum
Mabelline NY - Color Show Designer Nail Art Pen (weiß)
Essence - Nail Art tattoo pen (schwarz)
Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

Ich habe zuerst alle Nägel weiß lackiert, weil dadurch die Farblacke besser zur Geltung kommen.
Nachdem das trocken war, habe ich mit dem Essence - Nail Art tattoo pen in schwarz die Eier und das Küken gezeichnet. Danach habe ich die Eier noch mit Hilfe einer Striping Brush und weißem Lack ein wenig angemalt.
At first I painted all my nails white, because the colors are a bit sheer.
After drying I painted the eggs and chick with the Essence - Nail Art tattoo pen in black and filled in the eggs with white polish with the help of a striping brush.

Auch die rechte Hand habe ich zuerst weiß lackiert um anschließend mit den selben Farben in der selben Reihenfolge ein vertikales Gradient herzustellen (Premiere!). Dadurch, dass die Farben sehr hell sind, war das etwas aufwändiger und am Schluss auch ziemlich uneben, was das Malen des Musters etwas schwierig machte. Am Daumen und kleinen Finger habe ich deshalb, statt den Maybelline NY - Designer Nail Art pen in weiß mit Dotting Tool und Striping Brush und weißem Lack gearbeitet. Zum Schluss eine ordentliche Portion Top Coat!
I also painted the right hand with white at first and did a vertical gradient (premiere!) in the same order as on the left hand. Because the colors are very sheer this was a bit difficult and in the end it was a bit bumpy, which made painting the pattern with the Maybelline NY - Designer Nail Art pen in white a bit hard. Therefore I used a dotting tool and striping brush and white polish to paint my thumb and pinkie. Last step, a good amount of top coat!

Hey Leute! Hey Guys!

Heute ein kleiner Swatch für euch!
Vor kurzem habe ich L'Oreal - Color Riche Jackie Tweed ergattert, ein Top Coat mit kurzen, feinen, matten, orangen, gelben und blauen Streifen drinnen. Weil die Farbtöne eher pastell sind, dachte ich mir: perfekt für den Frühling und aufgrund der verschiedenen Farben, passt er gut zu verschiedenen Grundfarben.
Für meinen ersten Test habe ich mich für Essence - i have a crush on blue! , ein helles grau-blau entschieden. Ganz zufrieden war ich mit der Farbkombi nicht, ich denke eine off-white (z.b. O.P.I. - my vampire is buff oder my boyfriend scales walls) wäre besser gewesen...

Today I have a short swatch for you!
I bought L'Oreal - Color Riche Jackie Tweed lately, which is a top coat with short, fine, matte, orange, yellow and blue sprinkles in it. The colors are pastell toned, they fit perfect for spring and because of the combination they match perfectly with different base colors. For my first try, I chose Essence - i have a crush on blue!, which is a light-coloured gray-blue polish. I wasn't very satisfied with the combination and afterwards I thought, maybe an off-white color (like O.P.I. - my vampire is buff or my boyfriend scales walls) would have fit better...

Das Auftragen ging wirklich gut, am Pinsel waren immer genug Streifen drauf. Der Lack selbst ist ein wenig dickflüssig, fast schon klumpig und ohne Top Coat auch ziemlich uneben. Allerdings trocknet er trotz der Streifen relativ schnell.
Alles in allem, ein toller Effekt-Top Coat: interessante Farben, einfache Handhabung, Trocknungszeit ok.

The application worked really well, there are enough sprinkles on the brush, you don't have to fish for them. The polish itself is a bit thick, nearly goopy and without another layer of top coat a bit bumpy. The drying time is ok, despite the big amount of sprinkles.
Overall a great effect-top coat: interesting colors, easy handling, drying time ok.

Before we start - Welcome new followers!

Heute wieder ein "Inspired by ..." Post, meine quasi neue kleine Unterkategorie, die Designs enthält, die durch ganz bestimmte Dinge inspiriert wurden.
Heute ist es der Film "300 - Rise of an Empire" der seit Donnerstag im Kino ist. Der Film selbst war eher mau, meine Nägel hingegen waren der Hammer (wie ich finde).

Today I have a post in my little new subcategory called "Inspired by ...", which contains designs, who are inspired by specific things.
Today it's the movie "300 - Rise of an Empire" which premiered in cinemas this Tuesday. The movie itself was meh, but my nails look awesome (at least I think so).

Zuerst habe ich meine Nägel mit Essence - inkheart lackiert, anschließend mit Manhatten - Pro Mat Top Coat mattiert. Zuvor habe ich auf einem Stück Papier versucht herauszufinden, welcher roter Lack am Besten zu sehen ist und habe mich durch meine Experimente für Essie - too too hot, als Farbe für die Blutspritzer, entschieden. Den habe ich mithilfe eines Fächerpinsels aufgetragen und die "300" habe ich mit einem Stripingpinsel aufgetragen. Stellenweise habe ich mit dem Stripingpinsel auch mehr rote Farbe aufgetragen, damit das Rot intensiver wird. Zum Schluss noch ein paar Bluttropfen mit einem Dotting Tool - fertig!

At first I painted all my nails with Essence - inkheart, afterwards I matted them with Manhatten - Pro Mat Top Coat. I tried to find the right red shade on a piece of paper and after some experiments I chose Essie - too too hot for the blood stains. I applied them with my fan brush and painted the "300" with a striping brush. I added also some red polish here and there to make it more intense. At least I painted some blooddrops with a dotting tool - finished.

Hey Leute!

Ich habe wahnsinnig aufregende Nachrichten für euch!

Gestern wurde mein erster Gast Post auf Lucy's Blog "The Nail Snail" veröffentlicht. Ich kann euch sagen, das ganze ist für mich so aufregend - ich meine, meine Nägel auf einem amerikanischen Blog, gepostet von einer Bloggerin, die das schon viel länger macht, schon Blogger Preise gewonnen hat und etliche Follower hat. Noch dazu ist sie seeehr talentiert.

Nachdem der ganze Post auf englisch ist, hier eine kleine Übersetzung der Anleitung für das Design für euch:

Für dieses Design habe ich mit einer Zackenschere das Tixo in sogenannte Chevrons geschnitten. Danach habe ich meinen kleinen Finger, Mittelfinger und Daumen mit zwei Schichten OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls, meinem Lieblings "off-white" (nicht reines Weiß) und meinen Ringfinger auf der einen Seite mit Essie -cocktail bling und meinen Zeigefinger mit Essie - mint candy apple (rückwärts auf der anderen Seite ) lackiert. Einige Blogger verwenden schnell trocknende Top Coats, bevor sie das Tixo aufkleben - ich versuchte es und scheiterte. Ich empfehle, das Tixo auf die Haut, z.B. auf die Hand zu kleben, weil die Hautschuppen die Klebrigkeit verringern, sodass die Gefahr das der Lack mit abgeht beim Entfernen kleiner wird.
Dann habe ich mit einem Make-up-Schwamm den Farbverlauf aufgetupft. Ich begann mit mint candy apple auf der oberen Hälfte des Nagels und den Rest mit cocktail bling. Um einen fließenderen Übergang zu bekommen, empfehle ich, mit der helleren Farbe zu starten, dann die dunklere drüber und dann wieder helle, bis das gewünschte Ergebnis da ist.
Zu guter Letzt, habe ich die kleinen goldenen Studs aus dem Essence Nail Art Kit auf einen Tropfen Klarlack auf Ring- und Zeigefinger gesetzt und alle Nägel mit Sally Hansen - Insta dri Top Coat versiegelt.

Hey Leute! Hey Guys!

Die Winterolympiade ist vorbei, unsere Olympioniken sind teils schwer behängt mit Medaillen zurück. Obwohl ich kein großer Sportfan bin, bin ich doch etwas patriotisch und habe daher die Spiele ein wenig verfolgt.
Ich habe mich noch kurz vor Ende noch von der Sportmuse küssen lassen und folgendes kreirt!
The Winter Olympics are over, our Olympians back home with loads of medals. Although I'm not a big sports fan, I am a bit patriotic and have therefore followed the games a little.
Shortly before the games ended I let myself kiss by the muse of sports and created this design!

Verwendete Farben / used colors:
Essie - mezmerised, lapiz of luxury, too too hot, a list
Essence- inkheart, wonder wow! man
look by bipa - frog, smiling sun
maybelline - pow green
O.P.I. - my boyfriend scales walls
Zuerst habe ich meine Nägel mit O.P.I. - my boyfriend scales walls lackiert. Anschließend habe ich mit einem Fächerpinsel zuerst die hellen und dann die dunklen Farbtöne aufgetragen (außer beim Mittelfinger, da Essence - inkheart schon dunkel genug war). Dann alles trocknen lassen, die Kreise wieder mit O.P.I. - mbsw und einer Stripingbrush aufgemalt (war gar nicht einfach muss ich sagen), Top Coat drauf - fertig!
At first I painted all my nails with O.P.I. - my boyfriend scales walls. Afterwards I applied the light and then the dark colors with a fan brush (except for the middle finger where I only used Essence - inkheart). I let everything dry and painted the rings with a striping brush and again O.P.I. - mbsw (which wasn't as easy as I thought), apply top coat, finished!

Und? Habe ich eine Goldmedaille verdient?

Hey Leute! Hey Guys!

Heute mal nichts Aufwendiges, dafür aber ein wahnsinnig schöner Lack von Essence - prom-berry.
Something easy today, but made with an awesome polish from Essence - prom-berry.

Dieser Post ist einer Freundin gewidmet, deren Lieblingsfarbe Violett ist.
This post is dedicated to a friend, who's favourite color is purple.

Ein paar kurze Sätze noch dazu:

Ich habe diesmal erstmals einen neuen Top Coat verwendet Catrice - Quick dry & High Shine. Ein paar Dinge sprechen absolut für diesen Top Coat: Er trocknet schnell, glänzt wahnsinnig und weil er ziemlich dünnflüssig ist hat er rund um meine Steinchen, keine Blasen verursacht! Allerdings ist die Konsistenz eben sehr dünn, genauso wie der Pinsel und ich habe ihn auch probeweise auf den letzten Nägeln aufgetragen und da ist er zumindest auf einem Nagel gebrochen. Außerdem hat er ziemlich viel von der Farbe aufgenommen, weshalb die Steinchen und die Stripes ein wenig verunreinigt sind.
Ich habe 2 Schichten von dem Essence Lack aufgetragen, doch obwohl der auch schnelltrocknend sein soll, war ich mit der Trocknungszeit doch unzufrieden, weils länger gedauert hat als gedacht.
Aufmerksamen Lesern ist meine ramponierte Nagelhaut aufgefallen =) . Tja, was soll ich sagen, der Winter und meine schlechte Angewohnheit, abstehende Haut abzuknabbern tun hier einiges dazu. Aber ich schmier mir jetzt immer brav die Hände ein und versuche so wenig wie möglich herumzuknabbern! =)

Just a few lines about this manicure:

I used a new top coat from Catrice - Quick dry & High Shine. There are pro's and con's to mention about this top coat: It's very fast drying, shines really bright and due to it's runny it didn't made bubbles round my rhinestones! But the thin consistency, the thin brush and that it crackles are no-gos. Also it took some of the color and as you can see it bleeded my stripes and rhinestones a bit.
I applied two coats of the Essence polish and although it says it's fast drying I wasn't.
Some attentive readers noticed my battered cuticles =) . Due to the cold weather and my bad habit to nibble the skin around my nails are to blame for this. But I really want to better myself and use hand lotion and stop nibbling =) .

Hey Leute! Hey Guys!

Nachdem die Freitags-Maniküre so daneben gegangen ist, habe ich gestern und heute was neues gemacht.
Ich wollte schon länger wieder was mit Tixo machen und das ist es schließlich geworden:
Due to my Friday fail I did something new yesterday and today. I wanted to do something with tape again for a long time now, so this came out:

Ein paar Worte dazu:

Das Schwarz ist neu - Sally Hansen - Midnight in NY. Eine wirklich tolle Farbe - schwarz mit mehrfarbigem aber dunklem Glitzer drinnen. So etwas habe ich schon länger gesucht und bei Sally Hansen gefunden. Im BIPA Online Shop gibts derzeit eine Aktion auf Sally Hansen Lacke --> LINK. In den Filialen gibts nur ein kleines Sortiment, online kann man allerdings einiges mehr shoppen.
Auch der Top Coat ist neu - Sally Hansen - No Chip. Was soll ich sagen... Ich habe ein lachendes und ein weinendes Auge bei diesem Top Coat. Er glänzt super und soll angeblich das Abblättern des Lackes verhindern (kann ich bisher nicht bestätigen, da noch Wochenende ist und ich noch nicht arbeiten war). Allerdings ist das Auftragen echt mühsam, da er 1. nicht zu dick aufgetragen werden darf (siehe Epic Fail Post) und 2. richtige Fäden zieht wenn man den Pinsel aus der Flasche zieht - das hatte ich noch nie! Außerdem - und das ist das Schlimmste - bricht er! Auf manchen Bildern kann man es sehen, ganz feine Risse, wie bei einer Glasur die bricht... Echt schade.
Aber ich habe auch etwas Positives. Ich habe diesmal ein Tixo von "Scotch" verwendet, das keine glänzende sondern eine Matte Oberfläche hat und "Magic" heißt. Es lässt sich leicht schneiden, super aufkleben und was am Wichtigsten ist, wirklich leicht abziehen (sofern der Lack komplett trocken ist). Solltet ihr also was mit Tixo machen wollen, kann ich euch das nur empfehlen!

A few words about this:

The black is new - Sally Hansen - Midnight in NY. A really great color - black with multicolored, dark glitter inside. Something I have wanted for some time and found at Sally Hansen. The BIPA Online Shop there is currently an action on Sally Hansen Polishes - > LINK . In their stores, they have only a small range, online you can buy more of Sally Hansen.
Also, the top coat is new - Sally Hansen - No chip. What can I say ... I have a laughing and a crying eye with this top coat. He shines great and is supposed to prevent chipping of the paint (I can not confirm this yet , as there 's weekend and I was not yet at work). However, the application is really troublesome since he first must not be applied too thick (see Epic Fail Post) and second when you pull the brush out of the bottle it makes little strings - something I never experienced with any nail polish! Moreover - and this is the worst - it breaks! In some pictures you can see it, very fine cracks, as with a glaze that breaks ... Really a shame .
But I also have something positive. This time I used a tape from" Scotch " , which has no shiny but a mat surface and is called "Magic ". It is easy to cut, easy to stick on the nail and most importantly, really easy to pull off (provided the paint is completely dry). Should you intend to do something with tape, I can only recommend you this !

Hey Leute!

Heute viele Bilder und wenig Text, denn ich habe einen Augenschmaus für euch!
Diesen wunderschönen duochromen Lack von Essence - 03 Power Girl habe ich (leider) schon im Herbst 2013 erstanden und er kommt aus der Superheroes Collection. Solltet ihr euch also spontan verlieben, müsst ihr wahrscheinlich ganz genau schauen ob ihr den noch irgendwo kriegt, vielleicht auf Ebay (Amazon habe ich grade durchstöbert - alle anderen Farben aus der Kollektion gibts, nur den nicht mehr...).
Also die Farbe wechselt von Dunkelblau zu Violett, wenn das Licht in einem bestimmten Winkel auf den Nagel fällt ist es eine Mischung aus beiden. Echt faszinierend.

Today, many pictures and less text, because I have something amazing for you!
Unfortunately I bought this beautiful duochrome polish from Essence - 03 Power Girl from their Superheroes Collection in fall 2013. So if you fall in love with it, you have to search fiercly to find it, maybe you can get one at Ebay (I searched Amazon.at and found all the other colours from the collection, except this one).
The colour changes from deep blue to deep purple, and in specific light it looks like a mix of both. It's really fascinating!
But now ... pictures!!
