Happy New Year everyone!

I know I'm rather late for NYE wishes, but on the first I was simply too tired to post and yesterday I had to go to work, so here we are on the third!

For New Years Eve I decided to to a simple glitter gradient (?), which reminds of firework.

#31DC2014 Day 1: RED

Hey lovlies!

Today is the first day of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 brought to you by Chalkboardnails.

Today's theme is RED! I've done a design inspired by the nail polish from Christian Louboutin (follow the link to see the bottle!).


I would never buy this polish myself, because I don't like red nails that much. It looks weird to me, eventhough I don't know why... Anyways, I really liked this look, it's classy and vampy!


Used polishes and tools:
Essie - A-list
O.P.I. - Black Cherry Chutney
G&G - HK Girl top coat
Make-up sponge for the gradient

The O.P.I. polish was a bit hard to work with, because when I sponged it on, it was too sheer. I had to do sponge at least five times to get this opaque look. But I didn't want to use black, because I think it would've been a too hard contrast.





















This is a very picture heavy post, because I made this some weeks before the challenge started and had more time to take pictures and edit them! I don't think there will be as much pictures in the upcoming posts! :-)

Celebrate with me it's my 100th post!

Heyyy ladies!!

Start cheering, because it's my 100th post today! I kept this special number for a special mani. I will also participate at Nailpolis 1.000.000 Facebook fans contest with this.
When I browsed through the designs who already entered, I was thinking hard, what I want to do. At first I thought, yeah maybe some glitter or a fun skittlette. But then inspiration hit me and a thought - no, do something with a technique you adore, with colors you love and nail art tools that are awesome. So go and see my multicolored gradient featuring white stripes done with my beloved nail vinyls!

Nail Vinyls try out with summery gradient

Hy lovlies!

I ordered some nail vinyls recently at NailVinyls. I heard about it from The Nailasaurus and Chalkboard Nails and took a look.
I have to say: WOW!! This vinyls are amaazing! They are sticky, but doesn't take the base polish with it. So if you put them on and you want to change the place - it's no problem, because they stick, even if you readjust them three times (like I had to do...). They come off with a slightly bit of effort and are not reusable.
I only used scotch tape or striping tape before, but I think I will only use these now!
I ordered: Lightning Bolts, Stars Variety Sheet, Chevron, Zebra, Straights Variety.The shipping took a bit of time (I think 3 weeks), but they are sent from the U.S., so I can live with it.

Now look what I have done!

KIKO Make up Milano Swatch days - KIKO 530

Hey meine Lieben!
Hey lovlies!

Wie versprochen geht es weiter mit den KIKO Make up Milano Swatch days, heute mit einer wirklich umwerfenden Farbe! KIKO 530 Pearly Blue Peacock ist blau-grüner Duochrome Lack mit blau-grünem Mikroglitzer. Aber man muss ihn gesehen haben, um zu verstehen wie toll der aussieht.
Als ich ihn im Geschäft gesehen habe, musste ich sofort an Robin von rexxxdidit und ihr Meerjungfrauen Design denken. Ich wusste sofort, dass dieser Lack perfekt dafür ist!

As promised I continue with my KIKO Make up Milano Swatch days, and this time I want to show you a really amazing color! KIKO 530 Pearly Blue Peacock is a blue-green duochrome polish with blue-green microglitter. But you have to see it in person to get an idea how great it looks!
When I spotted it in the store, I was instantly reminded of Robin's mermaid nails, which she posted a while ago on her blog rexxxdidit. I knew this polish would fit perfect for it!

Oldie but Goldie - Galaxy Nails

Hey Leute! Hey Lovlies!

Galaxy Nails sind irre beliebt und ich glaube es gibt keinen Nail Art Künstler, der das nicht schon mal probiert hat. Warum? Es ist einfach und ziemlich Effektvoll!
Galaxy Nails are incredibly popular and I think there is no Nail Artist out there who hasn't tried this design. Why you ask? It's simple yet very effective!
Ich habe das erste Mal vor ca. einem Jahr welche gemacht, das sah so aus:

Sorry, die Qualität ist schlecht, aber so sahs auf jedenfall aus. Zum Geburtstag habe ich Amazon-Gutscheine bekommen und die, wie kanns anders sein, für Nagellack ausgegeben. Und zwar für 3 Sets von China Glaze (meine ersten, aber sicher nicht die letzten - die Lacke sind der Hammer!) und für den Heiligen Gral der Nail Artists: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat!
Sorry for the crapy quality, but that's how it looked. I got Amazon-vouchers for birthday and spent them, on nail polish. I bought 3 China Glaze sets (my first China Glaze polishes and definitly not my last, these polishes are awesome!) and the Holy Grail of nail artists: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat!
Und mit dem China Glaze - it's in the stars Set habe ich nun diese Galaxy Nails gemacht!

Wesentlich besser oder? Ich muss schon sagen, China Glaze wird wohl einen Lieblingslacke Post bekommen. Das Arbeiten mit diesen Lacken ist toll. Auf den Fotos sieht mans vielleicht nicht so gut, aber Seche Vite lässt die Nägel wirklich extrem glänzen! Wie gefällts euch?
Considerably better, don't you think? I have to say that China Glaze will get a special post. Working with this polishes is awesome. Maybe you can't see it on the pics properly, but Seche Vite really makes the nails incredibly shiny! How do you like it?

Gast Post für Lucy auf "The Nail Snail"

Ich habe wahnsinnig aufregende Nachrichten für euch!

Gestern wurde mein erster Gast Post auf Lucy's Blog "The Nail Snail" veröffentlicht. Ich kann euch sagen, das ganze ist für mich so aufregend - ich meine, meine Nägel auf einem amerikanischen Blog, gepostet von einer Bloggerin, die das schon viel länger macht, schon Blogger Preise gewonnen hat und etliche Follower hat. Noch dazu ist sie seeehr talentiert.

Nachdem der ganze Post auf englisch ist, hier eine kleine Übersetzung der Anleitung für das Design für euch:

Für dieses Design habe ich mit einer Zackenschere das Tixo in sogenannte Chevrons geschnitten. Danach habe ich meinen kleinen Finger, Mittelfinger und Daumen mit zwei Schichten OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls, meinem Lieblings "off-white" (nicht reines Weiß) und meinen Ringfinger auf der einen Seite mit Essie -cocktail bling und meinen Zeigefinger mit Essie - mint candy apple (rückwärts auf der anderen Seite ) lackiert. Einige Blogger verwenden schnell trocknende Top Coats, bevor sie das Tixo aufkleben - ich versuchte es und scheiterte. Ich empfehle, das Tixo auf die Haut, z.B. auf die Hand zu kleben, weil die Hautschuppen die Klebrigkeit verringern, sodass die Gefahr das der Lack mit abgeht beim Entfernen kleiner wird.
Dann habe ich mit einem Make-up-Schwamm den Farbverlauf aufgetupft. Ich begann mit mint candy apple auf der oberen Hälfte des Nagels und den Rest mit cocktail bling. Um einen fließenderen Übergang zu bekommen, empfehle ich, mit der helleren Farbe zu starten, dann die dunklere drüber und dann wieder helle, bis das gewünschte Ergebnis da ist.
Zu guter Letzt, habe ich die kleinen goldenen Studs aus dem Essence Nail Art Kit auf einen Tropfen Klarlack auf Ring- und Zeigefinger gesetzt und alle Nägel mit Sally Hansen - Insta dri Top Coat versiegelt.
