Marble shards

Helluuu ladies!

Wow, it's been incredibly long since my last post, but I was so busy with my life outside blogging. I had a busy time at work and my private life was also very turbulent.
Anyways... I did something some time ago, inspired by my dear blogging friend Robin! I saw THIS post and boom inspiration hit me so hard!
But it's just inspired by the colors I think, because my mani isn't a copy as you can see! Now, let's take a look and I will also share the secret behind this unbelievable simple design!

Better later than never - Valentine's nails! :)

Hello lovlies!

Today I want to show you something I did for Valentine's day, which is nearly a month ago. But who cares!
Actually, I wore this design some days before Valentine's day. On Valentine's day I did a more vampy design, which I didn't take pics of, because my fingers are in a real bad shape at the moment.
The cold weather really tortures my hands and cuticles and I don't want you to see them in such a bad condition.
However, let's take a look!

My polish picks 2014

Hey ladies!

The year 2014 is nearly over so I decided to show you my polish favourites of this year!
They are all favourites of different reasons and if I had more time, there would be more. But I decided to choose these!

Essie Jiggle hi jiggle low Collection swatch and nail art

Hey ladies!

How are you on the second Advent Sunday? It's really frustrating not to have more time to post, but Christmas time is a busy time, but I hope to post more. I have so many manis to post, because even though I don't post more often, I paint my nails every two or three days. So please stay tuned!

First, something about the blog...
Because of my new design, I had to remove the Google+ comments and switch to the normal Blogger comments, because the Google+ comments box did strange things to the template. That's bad, because all your lovely comments from the past are now gone... I mean, not really deleted, but not visible, until my fiancè and I find a way to implement it.

I recentyl bought a mini set of three polishes from the Essie jiggle hi jiggle low Winter Collection. Now for the polishes and manis I did:

Pink Polka Dots

Hey ladies!

How are you on this first Advent Sunday? I'm feeling fine today and I'm in full Christmas mood now and after writing this post I will start to decorate the house! Can you believe we celebrate Christmas again in less than a month?!
Before I start with Christmas and Winter manis, I want to show you some pink polka dots I did a while ago.
Let's take a look!

NEW BLOG DESIGN China Glaze The Giver Collection Swatch and Nail Art

Hy my lovely ladies!

First, I want to say WELCOME AND HELLO to all my new followers! Thank you for finding and following me!
Second, my NEW DESIGN is online!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK?? Sorry for the shout, but I LOVE it so much!! If you visited my blog this weekend you may have seen the different designs, because it was hard work and my super sweet, patient and genius fiancè (I love you so much!) managed everything perfect, don't you think?! Tell me what you think in the comments or via mail!

I bought three colors from the China Glaze The Giver Collection recently at Hypnotic Polish and I really, really wanted to swatch them properly, but after I applied them, I simply couldn't stop and forgot about photographing them without nail art. So yeah, this is less a swatch post and more a nail art post! (sorry...)
All these colors spoke to me, because they are what I call "off-whites" and because I can't get my hands on a fresh bottle of my beloved O.P.I. - My Boyfriend scales Walls, I'm constantly searching for a proper heir to it.

Mani Swap with Sabrina from ssunnysideup

Hey ladies!

This week I did a mani swap with Sabrina from ssunnysideup. I found her on Instagram a while ago and the most surprising thing was, that she is also from Austria like me!
I have found some other Austrian nail girls since, but believe it's hard, because they are all hiding I think.
Anyways, Sabrina asked for a mani swap and I volunteered immediately!
Let's take a look!

#31DC2014 Day 1: RED

Hey lovlies!

Today is the first day of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 brought to you by Chalkboardnails.

Today's theme is RED! I've done a design inspired by the nail polish from Christian Louboutin (follow the link to see the bottle!).

I would never buy this polish myself, because I don't like red nails that much. It looks weird to me, eventhough I don't know why... Anyways, I really liked this look, it's classy and vampy!

Used polishes and tools:
Essie - A-list
O.P.I. - Black Cherry Chutney
G&G - HK Girl top coat
Make-up sponge for the gradient

The O.P.I. polish was a bit hard to work with, because when I sponged it on, it was too sheer. I had to do sponge at least five times to get this opaque look. But I didn't want to use black, because I think it would've been a too hard contrast.

This is a very picture heavy post, because I made this some weeks before the challenge started and had more time to take pictures and edit them! I don't think there will be as much pictures in the upcoming posts! :-)

This was day 1! How do like the look?

Mani swap with Becca

Hy lovlies!

Instagram is an endless source of inspiration and since I'm there, I discovered lots of new to me and talented artists. One of those is Becca (IG: becca.nails) from England, UK and she makes some awesome manis. Some days ago, she asked if someone wants to do a mani swap and I thought, well, why not?!
I chose a butterfly mani and she took my celebration mani from last week.
I felt so honored because I'm really proud of this one!

Celebrate with me it's my 100th post!

Heyyy ladies!!

Start cheering, because it's my 100th post today! I kept this special number for a special mani. I will also participate at Nailpolis 1.000.000 Facebook fans contest with this.
When I browsed through the designs who already entered, I was thinking hard, what I want to do. At first I thought, yeah maybe some glitter or a fun skittlette. But then inspiration hit me and a thought - no, do something with a technique you adore, with colors you love and nail art tools that are awesome. So go and see my multicolored gradient featuring white stripes done with my beloved nail vinyls!

Ahoi! Nautical Nails!

Hey lovlies!

Today I want to show you some nail art I did on my mothers nails. She is always a willing victim when I want to go wild on nail art!
She had to remove her gel nails recently and it's a lot easier to work on her natural nails, which are really strong and healthy even though she wore the gels a long time now.
I matched her nails with an outfit she wore on Saturday. It was so much fun to do!

Watercolor pattern

Hy lovlies!

Wow, I've been so busy these last few days and I'm sorry to post so few these last weeks.
But today I want to show you something I recently previewed on Instagram.
This time I was inspired by a shirt I bought at Orsay, a fashion store here in Austria. I went to a birthday party with this shirt and grey pants and I had to do my nails with a special design for this day.
I love when people acknowledge that you matched your nails with your outfit and they did!
But let's take a look!

Comparison Swatch + Nail Art Bonus!

Hey lovlies!

A few days ago I bougth Essie - find me an oasis, from this years Summer collection. When I saw swatches of it I didn't intend to buy it, because all swatcher were complaining about the consistency. But as I'm desperatly searching for a heir to my beloved O.P.I. - My boyfriend scales walls, I thought I give it a chance.
I applied it and did THIS with it, as you may know. I thought: "Hey, this looks exactly like MBSW!".
But to proof if I'm right I applied them next to each other and the result was, that they are not the same (surprise! I'm not colorblind!).
So I took all my "off-white's" and made a comparison swatch for you!

Guest post from Cristine from Simply Nailogical

Hy ladies!

Today I want to share an awesome guest post with you! I was so excited these last few weeks and it was so hard to keep this secret, but now I can spill it!
I asked Cristine from Simply Nailogical, if she wants to do a guest post for me, and I never thought she will agree. Those of you who are on Instagram may now her and her awesome "scaled gradients". I saw one of those designs a few weeks on tumblr, I think, and was totally stunned! I found her blog and asked for a guest post! Long story short - here she is: my personal queen of awesome gradient designs!

Nail Vinyls try out with summery gradient

Hy lovlies!

I ordered some nail vinyls recently at NailVinyls. I heard about it from The Nailasaurus and Chalkboard Nails and took a look.
I have to say: WOW!! This vinyls are amaazing! They are sticky, but doesn't take the base polish with it. So if you put them on and you want to change the place - it's no problem, because they stick, even if you readjust them three times (like I had to do...). They come off with a slightly bit of effort and are not reusable.
I only used scotch tape or striping tape before, but I think I will only use these now!
I ordered: Lightning Bolts, Stars Variety Sheet, Chevron, Zebra, Straights Variety. The shipping took a bit of time (I think 3 weeks), but they are sent from the U.S., so I can live with it.

Now look what I have done!

The Challenge (Part one of more to come!) Inspired by... my boyfriend

Hey lovlies!

So, this is my first english-only post for you guys! I hope, I don't make more errors now... :-)

Ok, I asked my boyfriend a couple of days ago to create a design for me... and you can't image how surprised I was, when he finally came up with it!

And yes, I could!
