Mint - Gray Skittlette

Hey meine Liiiiiieben! Hey lovliiiies!

Am Mittwoch hatte ich wieder Lust mal was komplett Durchgemischtes zu machen. Im Moment sind mir lineare Designs irgendwie zu fad... Also hab ich 2 meiner Lieblings-Essie's genommen um ein Skittlette zu kreiiren.
Ich muss schon sagen, umso öfter ich mir Leopard Prints auf die Nägel male, desto besser gefallen sie mir! Das ich die überhaupt aufmale habe ich Robin von rexxxdidit zu verdanken, die hat mir nämlich mal versichert, dass die auch bei mir gut ausschauen :-D.
On Wednesday I was in the mood for some mixed up manicure. At the moment I don't like linearly designs that much ... so I took two of my favourite Essie polishes and used them for a skittlette.
I have to confess I'm falling in love with leopard prints. Thanks to Robin from rexxxdidit, who told me once that they would look good on my nails :-D.

Dedicated to... my Mom-In-Law!

Hey meine Lieben! Hey lovlies!

Nachdem gestern ja Muttertag war und ich bis Samstag die meiner Mutter gewidmeten Nägel hatte, habe ich gestern noch ein Design für meine Schwiegermutter gemacht. Eigentlich bin ich ja mit ihrem Sohn noch nicht verheiratet, aber nachdem wir jetzt schon so lange zusammen sind, kann ich zu ihr schon Schwiegermutter sagen.
Jedenfalls, bin ich sehr dankbar, dass sie den Mann zur Welt gebracht hat, den ich so liebe und der mich so glücklich macht! Sie ist zudem ein wunderbarer Mensch und ich bin wirklich froh, dass sie meine Schwiegermutter ist!
Deshalb, ein Design in ihren Lieblingsfarben!
Yesterday was Mother's-Day and I wore the design I dedicated to my mum til Saturday. Therefore I made a design for my mother in law too. I'm not yet married to her son, but because we are a couple for many years now, I think it's ok to call her mother in law.
Anyway, I'm soo thankful that she gave birth to the man I love, who makes me so happy. She is a wonderful person and I'm so grateful that she is my mother in law!
Therefore I made a design with her favourite colors!

Stripy stripes!

Hey Leute! Hey Lovlies! (Have you noticed, I call you ladies now lovlies! =) )

Heute ein kurzer Post zu meinem aktuellen Design. Vor kurzem habe ich diesen POST gesehen und das hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich es nachmachen musste. Ich habe aber kein Gradient gemacht und auch nicht mit Acrylfarben gearbeitet, sondern nur 2 ungetestete Lacke von Sally Hansen hergenommen.
Today a short post about my actual design. Shortly I saw this POST and I really loved the design, so I had to redo it. I didn't made a gradient though and I didn't used acrylicpaint, instead I chose two untried Sally Hansen polishes.

Hier erkennt man klar, dass es wichtig ist, das Striping Tape sofort abzuziehen, sonst werden die Striche uneben.
Here you can see, that it's important to pull of the striping tape immediatly after painting, otherwise the stripes are getting uneven!




Verwendete Lacke / Used polishes:
Sally Hansen - Mauve Along + Don't be Blue!
Seche Vite - Dry fast Top Coat
Striping Tape (China Glaze)

Also zuerst habe ich Mauve Along aufgetragen. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich Striping Tape in kleine Stücke geschnitten und aufgeklebt. Danach einfach mit Don't be Blue! darüber lackiert. Anschließend Top Coat - fertig!
Noch ein Wort zu Mauve Along: Der schaut in der Flasche ganz anders aus, als lackiert - also Vorsicht! In der Flasche sieht er eher wie ein Altrosa-Nude Lack aus, auf dem Nagel wird er dann eher bräunlich... Sehr seltsam und alleine werd ich den wahrscheinlich nicht tragen.
Don't be Blue! hingegen ist ein schönes gedimmtes dunkles Blau, damit weiß ich noch einiges anzufangen!
At first I painted all my nails with Mauve Along. After drying I applied striping tape and painted Don't be Blue! over it. At least top coat it - finished!
Some info about Mauve Along: In the bottle it looks completely different as when put on your nail. In the bottle it looks like old-pink or nude, but after applying it looked a bit brownish... Very strange and I think I won't wear it as a stand-alone color.
Don't be Blue! is a beautiful dimmed dark blue, and there are many things I want to do with it!
