1st Blogiversary!

Hy lovlies!

Today is the first birthday of my blog! How cool is that?

I was thinking about this day for a few days now, what I will write about it and how to celebrate it. I thought about a special design, but when I tried to do something yesterday, inspiration left me, only to come back today, so you will see my celebration design later!

Now, I just want to sum up the last year and my little journey. Robin from Roaringnails also had her anniversary shortly and I really liked her post about it, so this inspired mine heavily.
But first, a pic of my Halloween manicure (including damaged cuticles - the cold weather is killing them, I tell you) I wore a few days ago. I didn't find the the time to post about it, but you will get one with more pics soon!

O.P.I. Nordic collection negative space skittlette

Hey lovlies!

Today I want to show you some nail art done with polishes from the O.P.I. Nordic Collection.
I purchased a mini nail polish set with four colors and I love those!!
I thought about a swatch post too, but then I wanted to do some nail art instead. Anyways I will tell you about the polishes and how they are doing!

Butter London - Lovely Jubbly Swatch plus nail art

Hey lovelies!

Today I want to show you Butter London - Lovely Jubbly. I bought it some time ago, along with some other Butter London polishes, because they were on sale.
I love Butter London polishes, but they are really expensive! So unless they are on sale, I don't buy them.
The quality is great, they are 3 free and don't test on animals. So, yes they are high quality, but €20 per bottle is shockingly high (at least for me...)
But I will stop whining about the price and show you some pics!

Second Liebster Award Nomination

Hey ladies!

Jacqueline from lack-is-all-i-need nominated me for the Liebster Award. As I have received this award some time ago, I will skip the whole re-nomination thing. But I happily answer Jacquelines questions first in German and then in English.
I love the concept of the Liebster Award and if the questions are not too "mainstream", but really meant to get to know the artist a bit better, it's more fun!
So go ahead and read my answers!

Shredded Dragonflies

Hello Ladies!

Today I want to share a simple manicure with you, I haven't tried yet.
Have you ever tried to layer a holo flake or glitter polish over black?
If yes, you may know, how awesome this can turn out.
So I grabbed my China Glaze - Liquid Leather and Luxe and Lush and produced this simple, but stunning mani.

#31DC2014 Day 1: RED

Hey lovlies!

Today is the first day of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 brought to you by Chalkboardnails.

Today's theme is RED! I've done a design inspired by the nail polish from Christian Louboutin (follow the link to see the bottle!).

I would never buy this polish myself, because I don't like red nails that much. It looks weird to me, eventhough I don't know why... Anyways, I really liked this look, it's classy and vampy!

Used polishes and tools:
Essie - A-list
O.P.I. - Black Cherry Chutney
G&G - HK Girl top coat
Make-up sponge for the gradient

The O.P.I. polish was a bit hard to work with, because when I sponged it on, it was too sheer. I had to do sponge at least five times to get this opaque look. But I didn't want to use black, because I think it would've been a too hard contrast.

This is a very picture heavy post, because I made this some weeks before the challenge started and had more time to take pictures and edit them! I don't think there will be as much pictures in the upcoming posts! :-)

This was day 1! How do like the look?

The 31 Day Challenge #31DC2014

Hey lovlies!

Today I have a info-only post for you!
I want to participate at Chalkboardnails 31 day challenge, which means a new manicure every day!
This is tough, I know, but as I didn't paint my nails that much these last weeks, I think it will be doable!
Here is a pic of the challenges, feel free to participate yourself and don't forget to use the hashtag #31DC2014 on social media, so everyone can see your pics!

Wow, everytime I read through the list I'm all "Oh myyy... what will I be doing with THIS theme?"

I also will not post everyday on the blog I think, because doing nails and write about it everyday is a bit to much, but I will post them on Instagram and Tumblr and make a roundup post in the end!

Have you ever done something like this? What was your experience with it?

Mani swap with Becca

Hy lovlies!

Instagram is an endless source of inspiration and since I'm there, I discovered lots of new to me and talented artists. One of those is Becca (IG: becca.nails) from England, UK and she makes some awesome manis. Some days ago, she asked if someone wants to do a mani swap and I thought, well, why not?!
I chose a butterfly mani and she took my celebration mani from last week.
I felt so honored because I'm really proud of this one!

Celebrate with me it's my 100th post!

Heyyy ladies!!

Start cheering, because it's my 100th post today! I kept this special number for a special mani. I will also participate at Nailpolis 1.000.000 Facebook fans contest with this.
When I browsed through the designs who already entered, I was thinking hard, what I want to do. At first I thought, yeah maybe some glitter or a fun skittlette. But then inspiration hit me and a thought - no, do something with a technique you adore, with colors you love and nail art tools that are awesome. So go and see my multicolored gradient featuring white stripes done with my beloved nail vinyls!

piCture pOlish - Altered State swatch

Hey lovlies!

Today I have a swatch post for you! I recently purchased some piCture pOlish polishes from Nailland HU and prettypolish and I love all of them. piCture pOlish is an Australian indie brand who makes awesome polishes. I read so much and saw so many swatches and designs with polishes from them, I had to get some.
I will show you all of them in swatch posts, but I will tell you which I get, so can look it up and drool (links lead to piCture pOlish homepage except two):

And now have a look at Altered State!

Ahoi! Nautical Nails!

Hey lovlies!

Today I want to show you some nail art I did on my mothers nails. She is always a willing victim when I want to go wild on nail art!
She had to remove her gel nails recently and it's a lot easier to work on her natural nails, which are really strong and healthy even though she wore the gels a long time now.
I matched her nails with an outfit she wore on Saturday. It was so much fun to do!

Yeah for leopard prints!

Hey lovlies!

Again it's been a week since my last post, dunno why I don't find the time at the moment to post...

Today I want to show you some nail art I did with my recent purchases. I used only ILNP polishes for this design. If you don't know them yet, you should check them out! Lots of great nail artists use them and I too don't want to miss them in my collection!
That being said, let's start!
